Most people don’t start therapy because life feels amazing.  Like me, they begin because of challenges in their life or real emotional pain. If that sounds familiar, welcome. You are not alone.  And the good news is that pain is often the catalyst for deep, positive change.

You might be here because of something happening in your life, but the work that leads to lasting relief is often internal. My approach combines trauma-informed methods including Psychedelic-assisted Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, EMDR and parts work to help you shift out of ineffective patterns and into presence with who you truly are beyond the pain, beyond the story. I partner with you to process what is unresolved, so you can connect with the clarity and peace that already exists within you.  My work is centered in broadening the compassion and acceptance you bring to your life so you can stop resisting your experiences, which is the root of suffering.

I invite you into a nonjudgmental space to explore what you might not readily share with others to gain a better understanding of yourself so you can achieve the wonderful possibilities that exist in your life.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
Carl Rogers

A Nondual Approach to Healing

In my work, I draw from a nondual understanding of the self — a perspective that gently questions the idea that we are separate, isolated beings. Instead, nondualism invites us into the possibility that beneath our thoughts, roles, and even our trauma, we are already whole. Not as a belief, but as a living, felt experience.

Nondualism isn’t a belief system or philosophy you need to adopt. It’s an invitation to explore your direct experience — to notice what happens when you stop identifying so tightly with your thoughts and begin resting more deeply in the present.

Background and Experience

I am a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience working with couples and adults seeking to improve their lives. My specialties include psychedelic-assisted therapy with ketamine and integration for psilocybin and MDMA, assertiveness work, EMDR, somatic therapy, couples work, improving relationships and communication, self-worth, and working through the challenges that come with walking a creative career path.

I draw upon my own experiences as a partner, friend and mother in my work.  I offer couple’s counseling and individual therapy for people seeking to achieve their full personal and professional potential. Virtual therapy is a flexible and convenient way to access support in our busy world. The nuance of creating strong connection over the internet is a special skill that I have honed and has proven to be very fruitful for my clients. I welcome you to call me for a free 15-minute phone consultation.

My Process

You will lead the process, determining what areas feel meaningful to explore to meet your personal goals.  The specific way in which we work together will be determined by your unique circumstances. I am focused on working with you to uncover solutions by providing you with support and gentle, objective feedback.  We will explore areas that are challenging for you to hold compassion to guide the healing process.  We can also incorporate the use of body tracking and/or psychedelic medicine to further your growth.  You will have the opportunity to address current challenges and long-standing patterns that are blocking you from greater happiness. Therapy provides a nonjudgmental, open setting in which to examine issues that we might not readily share with others. It can help us better understand ourselves, our circumstances, and our possibilities.

You can have the relationship you want and deserve.  Relationship problems are never easy to confront, but they can be an unavoidable part of life. Most of the time, we try to overcome the hardships without outside assistance. This can lead to frustration and despair when our hard work goes unrewarded because of misunderstood patterns that block us from progress.  Couples counseling can help you rebuild your relationship by providing tools for better communication, creating greater closeness, improved sexual relationships and a loving, healthy way to address inevitable conflicts. You can also use couples therapy to resolve your differences before marriage to build a strong foundation for your life together.  My couples work is centered in Imago Therapy where the relationship imprints from our early life are examined and reshaped.  I also ground the work in nonviolent communication, a method for building interaction habits that are gentle and healing.
